# Get a dataset

`GET /v1/workspaces/{workspaceId}/datasets/{datasetId}`

Returns one published dataset by its id or its slug: its description, size, source, license, examples, and access. A draft, retired, or unknown dataset is 404 not_found. Requires the viewer role.

## Authentication

Send `Authorization: Bearer <GRAPHON_API_KEY>`. Read the key from the
GRAPHON_API_KEY environment variable. Never print it.

## Path parameters

- `workspaceId` (string) — The workspace id.
- `datasetId` (string) — The dataset id (dst…) or its slug.
